Creating Effective Listings

Follow these guidelines to create listings that attract the right audience and comply with Dogmarket's policies.

Photos

Include at least 3 clear, high-quality photos
The first photo should clearly show the dog's face
Include photos showing the dog's full body
Add photos of the dog in different environments
Ensure good lighting and focus

Description

Be honest and accurate about the dog's breed, age, and health
Describe the dog's temperament and personality
Include information about training and socialization
Mention any special requirements or considerations
Be clear about vaccination and microchipping status

Pricing

Set a fair and reasonable price based on breed, age, and pedigree
Be transparent about what's included in the price
Clearly state if the price is negotiable
For stud services, clearly outline the terms and conditions

Prohibited Content

To maintain a safe and ethical platform, the following are not allowed:

Listings for dogs with known health issues that aren't disclosed
Misleading breed information or false claims about pedigree
Listings for dogs under 8 weeks of age
Listings promoting unethical breeding practices
Multiple listings for the same dog to manipulate search results
Using stock photos or photos that aren't of the actual dog being listed
Offering dogs as prizes or for free to "good homes"
Listings for banned breeds or illegal dog-related activities

Listing Types

Puppy Listings

Must be at least 8 weeks old
Include information about parents and pedigree if applicable
Provide details about vaccinations and health checks
Mention socialization and early training

Adoption Listings

Include the dog's history and reason for rehoming
Be honest about any behavioral issues or special needs
Clearly state any adoption fees and what they cover
Outline the adoption process and requirements

Stud Listings

Include health test results and certifications
Provide details about previous litters if applicable
Clearly state stud fee and terms
Include information about the dog's temperament and conformation
